Five people have been injured one seriously so after a T Bone collision at the c...

Five people have been injured one seriously so after a T Bone collision at the corner of Alpine Road and Stanley Copley Drive in Overport on Sunday afternoon.

Around 2pm Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the vehicles obstructing the roadway. Two vehicles had collided in a T Bone format. One passenger who had sustained serious injured had to be freed from the wreckage using the Jaws Of Life by the Durban Fire Department. Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised the patient in the wreck before carefully extricating her using specialised equipment. A further four other occupants were also stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS were in attendance and will be investigating further.
