STATEMENT BY THE EXECUTIVE MAYOR, ALDERMAN DAN PLATO As of 1 May 2020, South Africa has moved to Level 4 containment stage in the response to COVID-19 pandemic.
The City of Cape Town is phasing in allowable operations within Level 4 of the COVID-19 lockdown period.
Until further notice, customers are advised to assume that a customer contact office remains closed until stipulated otherwise.
Facilities that are not already open, including customer facilities such as revenue offices or motor vehicle licencing offices, may not open until a risk assessment is concluded as per the new regulations issued on 30 April 2020 by the Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs and the Minister of Employment and Labour respectively.
Until further communication over the coming week, the City advises customers to please continue to make use of all online and telephonic service options.
