President Cyril Ramaphosa will be joining an online Good Friday service led by Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba.
Ramaphosa will be at his Johannesburg home and has been asked to deliver an Easter message.
This will be broadcast live on certain SABC television channels and radio stations from 12-noon.
Archbishop Makgoba
has made an appeal to the nation to continue working together to beat Covid-19
"It will spread fast and far if we allow it and it will cause havoc.
My plea
and my prayer to all of us as people of faith is to go in peace, wash our hands regularly, keep you social distance, help flatten the curve, support the government's screening, testing, tracing, and treatment efforts, even as we cry for equality and work for justice." Makgoba also had this message for all people, from different walks of faith.
" I call on all of you to believe to go and tell the good news, to rejoice because this pandemic has shown us
how interdependent we are and that if you hold together, we shall overcome.
God bless you.
God bless your family and God bless Africa.
God loves you and so do I." "https://scontent-jnb1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/92702563_3091220804263616_3078463331766370304_n.jpg?_nc_cat=108&_nc_sid=8024bb&_nc_ohc=OsUY5U2MZnIAX_fFh7j&_nc_ht=scontent-jnb1-1.xx&oh=35b023e3b39f861b0444490a866bd02b&oe=5EB4E3F2"
