In the spirit of Thuma Mina, Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will lead the Western Cape provincial 100MenMarch to create awareness of violence against women and children.
The Western Cape 100 Men March takes place after the successful national march held in Pretoria on Tuesday, 10 July.
The 100 Men March will take place on Thursday, 12 July 2018 in the City of Cape from 12pm to 2pm, starting at Keizergracht Street (opposite CPUT Campus), leading to Parliament.
In marching together with business organisations, civil society groupings and government, participants will demonstrate a united resolve to fight the scourge of violence against women and children.
The march will draw 100 men from different categories across society to create a visible front of men marching together to show their commitment to making South Africa safer for women and children.
On average, one in five South African women older than 18 has experienced physical violence.
