A privately owned aviation company in Namibia has started operating flights between Cape Town and Windhoek four times a week.

The route signals FlyWestair's first international scheduled flight.

Western Cape Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities, David Maynier, has applauded the initiative,


saying it will make travel for business or holidays easier.
