Patricia de Lille has reported for work at the City Council this morning, saying she's still the Mayor of Cape Town. The DA's Federal Executive announced the termination of her party membership yesterday. This after a radio interview where De Lille mentioned she had intentions of leaving the party after clearing her name in court. De Lille says she remains the Mayor until her court challenge has been heard on Friday, and declares otherwise. "I served papers on the IEC and the City manager himself and off course the party, giving them notice that I'm contesting that decision that terminated my membership. Am I still the mayor in the City of Cape Town, I think until the court has ruled on my suspension or my termination, that we should all wait for that and that is one more day."
