Organisers of the Cape Town Cycle tour say they are deeply saddened by the death...

Organisers of the Cape Town Cycle tour say they are deeply saddened by the deaths that occurred during the event yesterday. Three people died in separate incidents. The first cyclist died during a pile-up of about 20 riders near Constantia. A second cyclist died of a suspected heart attack near Cape Point while a third person, a Rotary Marchals, died in hospital late yesterday afternoon after being involved in an accident. Tour Director, David Bellairs, says the latest incident is being investigated. " Its always extremely tough for both the organisers and the staff when these kinds of incidents occur. Our hearts, thoughts and wishes go out to the families of the folks that was involved in these accidents. It really is tragic when people are out participating in a sport that they love so much. "
