This week all the children will be getting ready to go back to school. The normal peak hour traffic will be back in full swing but here is a few guidelines for parents to help their children.

* If making use of public transport ensure your child knows your cellphone number or that your contact details is in their schoolbag.

* Children walking or riding their bikes to school must ideally wear high visibility vests so that motor vehicles can clearly see them.

* Any child with allergies must wear a medical alert bracelet so that in case of an emergency the medical staff knows this information.

* Children alone at home after school must have a list of emergency numbers that they know how to contact if something should happen.

We wish all the scholars a great first day back at school and a very productive year.
