Economic Freedom Fighter supporters in Cape Town say they will not tolerate racist acts by retailers. A recent advertisement by international clothing store H&M has caused a public outcry. The ad features a black child modelling a hoodie top with the slogan 'coolest monkey in the jungle" . Several stores in Johannesburg were vandalised, forcing police to fire rubber bullets at EFF members. EFF supporters also conducted demonstrations at H&M stores in Cape Town today. Cluster Head of the EFF in the Cape Metro, Banzi Dambuza, explains the reason for staging the protest: " The days of apologising for engaging in anti-black racism are over. Everybody, particularly institutions that downgrade black people they will aways be the target of the Economic Freedom Fighters, we will visit them, the way we visited H&M today."
