MTB Resuscitation patient discharged.
A picture says a thousand words.
The Chain of survival is a principle of emergency cardiac care, which includes early recognition of cardiac arrest and activation of appropriate Emergency services including commencing Cardiac pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as soon as possible, early defibrillation, as well as advanced cardiac life support and in-hospital treatment for post-cardiac arest.
The chain of survival certainly made all the difference in this patient's survival. The early intervention of the bystanders, who initiated CPR before paramedics arrived, made the difference between life and death for Mitch Arntzen. If the Good Samaritans Dylan Bradley and Shane Bond had not started Cardiac pulmonary Resuscitation, the patient's heart would probably not have been in a rhythm that was responsive to treatment from the IPSS paramedics.
IPSS Medical rescue is glad to report that Mitch has been discharge from hospital and back home with his family. We would again like to thank Dylan and Shane for taking action and starting CPR and contacting IPSS Medical Rescue.
