Parents and guardians in the Western Cape can now find out if their child's school admission applications for 2020 have been successful or not. Western Cape Education Department spokesperson, Bronagh Hammond, says from the 15th of February until the

15th of March this year, their online system received over 277-thousand applications. She says it is important to go online again to confirm or decline acceptance from the schools on their list, before the 12th of July, to ensure there will be space for learners on the school's waiting list. "Parents who applied online should visit the admissions website on our WCED web page and select track applications to confirm their preferred school for 2020. Parents

who can not access the internet however can hand in written confirmation of acceptance or decline at the various schools applied to. We hope that everyone involved in this process works together to make it less stressful for the parents who have not found spaces in schools." (Image: ITweb)
