A memorial service for the late Labour Court Judge, Anton Steenkamp, will be held at the at the Cape Town Labour Court this morning. Fifty eight-year old Steenkamp died last week after he was bitten by a black mamba while on holiday with his wife in Mpika, a remote part of Zambia. Family spokesperson, Advocate, Andrew Brown, has described Steenkamp as a champion of human rights. Brown says the late Judge Steenkamp's early work as a journalist at the Vrye Weekblad set the tone for his commitment to fighting injustice. Steenkamp is survived by his wife, Catherine, and two children.
