The N2 near Plettenberg Bay in the Southern Cape remains closed to traffic following a protest by taxi drivers.
They are apparently protesting about Covid grants that have not been paid by government.
The airport road is still open and can be used as an alternative route from Plettenberg Bay to Knysna.
Traffic
spokesperson, Jandre Bakker: "The N2 near Plettenberg Bay was closed earlier by disgruntled minibus taxi operators.
The road was reopened while they met with local authorities but has since been closed again.
Traffic is diverted via alternative routes."
