The construction of a brand new school in Kraaifontein is nearing completion. The 64-million rand Kraaifontein High School building has been fitted with a number of water wise features such as a tank farm and a water-restrictor on the water main line. The school will make use of mainly borehole water. It will accommodate over one thousand learners. Apart from 30 classrooms, it also boasts a chemistry lab, two multipurpose classrooms and a multi media centre. Western Cape Minister of Education, Debbie Schafer, says the construction of a new primary school in the same area, will start in the next two months.
