All six inmates who escaped form Pollsmoor Prison on Sunday night, have now been apprehended. The last of the six, Siphenanthi Ntantiso, was apprehended this afternoon. The prisoners aged between 20 and 24 were being held in the youth section of the prison. They escaped by bending the burglar bars and used a makeshift rope of bedding and clothes to scale the fence. Western Cape Regional Correctional Service Commissioner, Delekile Klaas, says the six will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court soon."The last offender of the six offenders who escaped has now been arrested. We had given the team 72 hours to arrest them. I must commend them for the good work because they took that task with commitment, dedication and zeal to make sure that with 48 hours all the escapees are back in our facility."
