Murder accused, 57 year old Rob Packham from Constantia who is alleged to have murdered his wife, Gill intends pleading not guilty to the charges against him. He is appearing in the Wynberg Magistrates Court. He faces a charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice. The State is not opposing bail in this case. His advocate, Ben Mathewson told the court that his client is grieving his wife's passing and wants to be with and needs the support of his two daughters. He requested that bail be set at 50 thousand rand, saying it's an amount his family can afford. 55 year old Gill Packham was reported missing late last month. A day later her charred body was found inside in the boot of her vehicle at Diep River railway station. Police last week confirmed the identity of the deceased after concluding DNA tests.
