President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for a walking revolution to promote a healthy lifestyle for all South Africans. The President walked from Lookout Hill in Khayelitsha to the Rocklands Civic Centre in Mitchell's Plain this morning. He was joined by hundreds of people who came out to join him. Ramaphosa says his regular health walks give him an opportunity to engage with ordinary South Africans and listen to their concerns about the issues they are facing in their communities: " Some of them come with proposals. Some of them come with things that we can do to improve their community and the wonderful thing I've also met people who are doing work in the community, who are doing community work, helping other people. I met a few housewives. Some of them even coming out in their gowns to greet."
